    Job SummaryThe Accounting Assistant is based in our Phoenix office and is responsible for accounting functions for all TSH managed spas. Assists Finance on projects relating to the opening of new spas and the continuing administration of current properties. The ideal candidate is used to working independently, and possesses an accounting background, ideally from a hospitality, retail or spa background. This is a Remote/Work From Home position with the expectation of meeting in the Home Office once a week (after the initial in-person training period). The ideal candidate will live within the Phoenix Metro area.

    Responsibilities:

    Work with Controller on completing monthly closing process.

    Review vendor invoices for accuracy and input.

    Prepare monthly sales tax returns.

    Post and prepare payroll journal entries.

    Provide support to Controller with over-site of inventory tracking systems (professional and retail inventory controls).

    Oversee day to day tasks of corporate office and assist Controller with filings, mail and other administrative duties.

    Complete Special projects as needed.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

    Minimum Experience: 2 years-experience in accounting/book-keeping.

    Must have Excel knowledge.

    Computer software skills (Quick-Books, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    Clerical skills, typing, filing, etc.

    Must have good organizational skills and the ability to handle multi-tasking.

    Ability to carry out assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
