    Job Summary

    The Trim Carpenter is responsible for installing interior and exterior finish components in modular home units during the manufacturing process. Working in a plant environment, this role ensures that trim work meets quality standards, design specifications, and production timelines. The Trim Carpenter plays a key role in delivering a polished, move-in-ready product in a team environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Install interior trim components including baseboards, door and window casing and crown molding.
    • Install exterior trim elements as required by production plans.
    • Measure, cut, fit, and secure trim materials using hand and power tools.
    • Perform finish work to meet appearance, fit, and quality standards.
    • Read and follow work instructions, layouts, and basic blueprints.
    • Identify and correct minor fit or finish issues during installation.
    • Coordinate work with framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing teams.
    • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
    • Follow safety standards and company safety policies.
    • Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

    Qualifications

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Basic math and measurement skills
    • Willingness to learn framing techniques and construction methods.
    • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or construction environment.
    • No prior construction or framing experience required.
    • Training will be provided based on demonstrated ability and performance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
    • Familiarity with hand and power tools
    • Experience working in a team-based production environment.

    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Ability to work indoors in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
    • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.

    Work Schedule & Benefits

    • Full-time schedule, standard first shift hours Monday–Friday
    • Overtime may be required based on production needs.
    • Paid Time off after 90 days
