    Looking to hire a Childcare Director who is a self-starter and has been in the childcare industry as a Director in Tennessee for three or more years. Must be very familiar with the new TN DHS rules and regulations and experienced with new observation and assessment tools. Must have a professional demeanor and good public relations skills. Must have a degree, CDA or degree in Early Childhood Development area is a plus. Competitive salary based on experience and education for the right candidate. Must have updated resume and references and ready to come abroad prior to August 1, 2023.

    The following are some of the duties and responsibilities of a Child Care Director:

    Training and supervising staff members to ensure they have the skills needed to effectively care for children

    Conserving communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, development, behavioral issues, and any relevant topics

    Organizing with teachers, counselors, therapists, and other professionals who work with children, as well as other staff members, to ensure proper care of children

    Organizing finances and maintaining records, such as payroll records, budgets, and inventory of supplies and equipment

    Evaluating applications for employment and interviewing candidates to ensure that they meet job requirements

    Performing staff meetings to inform employees about changes in policies or procedures

    Performing interviews of applicants and hiring new staff members needed

    Assuring that children are safe while in the daycare center’s care by enforcing rules and regulations and conducting regular inspections of the facility and children’s belongings

    Identifying children to identify any behavioral concerns or challenges to refer them to other professionals for evaluation and treatment.

    Assessing and purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies

    Finalizing ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures

    Disseminating and meeting with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies

    Managing and supervising the budget and accounts and also ensuring that a center remains profitable

    Formulating and facilitating market and communications plans

    Qualifications

    Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field

    A degree in Early Childhood Education and also experience in the field is also an added advantage

    Accept local, state, and federal laws governing childcare

    Knowledge of ProCare software

    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

    Powerful leadership and interpersonal skills

    Terrific organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills

    Friendly and approachable demeanor

    Essential Skills

    Business Management: responsible for running all the operations of a childcare facility from drafting the budget to setting up the security business. He is also detail-oriented and very organized. They need to keep abreast with federal, state, and also local daycare laws. These rules cannot be violated. They need to follow it as expected.

    Excellent Communication Skills: must be an excellent communicator. He or she must know how to interact with staff or childcare workers, give parents updates about the wellness of the children and also write newsletters. Effective communication can help you build trust with others and ensure that everyone flows on the same page.

    First Aid: must possess good knowledge of child safety management and also have updated information on first aid protocol. He or she must be able to administer first aid to children if they sustain injuries in the childcare facility. He also conveys safety tips to students on how they can be safe.

    Good crisis management: must have good management crises abilities to be able to remain calm and very composed in situations. He must possess strong problem-solving skills to ensure that orderliness is carried out in the camp. For instance, if a staff or childcare worker is sick and cannot be available at work. The director must immediately look for a replacement for the staff. Directors need to also solve problems that spring up within the facility such as when a parent complains about a particular child or when there is a piece of equipment that needs to be repaired.

    Leadership Experience: manager of the childcare facility and he or she is responsible for training childcare workers, especially newly recruited staff about the rudiments of the job. He or she must also be able to motivate and resolve conflicts which is very much integral to his job responsibility. Leadership skills are also displayed by the childcare director during sessions of meetings in which he or she presides.

    Classroom Experience: responsible for handling teaching staff, they must understand how to handle a group of children and also comprehend the development of children. They must know how to establish a classroom structure and flow freely with students. Most childcare directors started their careers as childcare workers, they are very much familiar with the classroom management system.

    Time management: the ability to plan and implement tasks at a particular time. Childcare directors often have responsibilities such as supervising the daily activities of childcare in a facility, managing childcare workers, and also supervising and executing the budget.
