  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking highly competent and talented individuals with 3-5 years experience. Current projects include renovation of large multi-family apartments, both exterior and interior design. We are a design focused and collaborative team that will give you the opportunity to work on many projects, from initial design through execution.

    You will be involved in all project phases, including the development of creative design solutions, translating them into thorough design documents, and working closely with contractors to achieve a quality built project. Designer will plan and help implement design schemes as needed. Applicants should demonstrate the following skills:

    Ability to work on multiple projects, develop creative solutions, and work closely with the team, contractors and vendors.

    Ability to perform precedent research.

    Design presentations at many scales, including presentation renderings and concept boards.

    Self-motivated, organized, enthusiastic, and skilled at taking on a variety of tasks.

    Strong verbal and written communications skills, time management and the ability to multi-task.

    Knowledgeable of general principles of space décor and design (i.e., flooring, window treatments, color schemes, finishes and FF&E).

    Work with the team to develop budgets and keep Project Logs throughout a project.

    Documentation (including design details and consultant coordination).

    Experience with Construction Administration, including submittal review and shop drawing review.

    Implementation of design, FF&E and accessory placement.

    Ability to make site visits, travel, work evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.

    Initiative to meet assigned goals, missions and objectives.

    Strong attention to detail

    Qualifications:

    Three to five years overall experience in interior design offices since earning a professional degree.

    Minimum Associates or Bachelor Degree in Interior Design.

    Familiarity with Building Codes and ADA.

    Ability to travel as neededCharacteristics required:

    Possess excellent creativity and good understanding of color.

    Awareness of current fashion and design trends and methods.

    Able to interact well with a variety of people.

    Ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others.The following computer skills are required:

    CADD or other experience in using floor and space planning applications/software

    Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

    Sketchup or other similar rendering software
