    Trinity Safety Group (TSG) is currently seeking an experienced, motivated  Construction Safety Professional for a major project in Washington, DC. The scope of work is tunnel construction. This is a salaried position.  Salary range $75-85K.

    The ideal candidate must be familiar with construction safety standards and must have 5 or more years of experience managing the safety processes on a work site. To be considered candidates MUST have ALL of the following:

    • Minimum 5 years of Construction Safety Experience 
    • Heavy civil construction safety preferred
    • CHST designation OR the ability to sit for the exam
    • OCIP experience strongly preferred. This individual will maintain field presence to monitor contractor safety performance.

    Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Attend all pre-construction meetings to explain the ROCIP 4 policies and procedures that impact contract compliance.
    • Review all prime contractor and design builder submitted safety programs.
    • Create training programs for DC Water’s staff and construction workers. Identify the types of training programs and necessary participation.
    • Analyze and update existing first aid and injury programs and provide recommendations to implement changes.
    • Review site-specific emergency procedures.
    • Ensure that OSHA required training and documentation is on-site for review.
    • Ensure all contractors working on site are properly enrolled under ROCIP 4.
    • Develop and maintain ROCIP 4 safety information database. This database will produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly benchmark comparison performance reports for contractors and DC Water.
    • Provide safety highlights/training to DC Water’s Resident Engineer(s) and inspection staff at their scheduled staff meetings.
    • Provide monthly safety training to contractor safety staff to enhance consistent and organized performance.
    • Review the mechanism for communication between a rescue team and contractors to ensure that both are prepared should an emergency occur.
    • Review site specific Maps and Emergency Plan Procedures to the tunnel rescue team.
    • Respond to reported accidents and evaluate compliance with occupational and environmental health and safety requirements and DC Water Construction Safety Manual.
    • Shall conduct daily safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with occupational and environmental health and safety requirements and DC Water Construction Safety Manual.
