ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Managing, working and operating machines to mix and combine elements, like chemicals, liquids and color pigments. Also pouring and curing product.
• Weighing and measuring materials, components, and products to make sure that they meet the requirements.
• Testing specimens of materials or products to make sure it follows the prescribed specifications using different types of test equipment.
• Activating machines to mix or blend the ingredients and allowing them to mix for a predetermined period of time.
• Running or attending machines that blend a variety of substances such as chemicals, color pigments, and liquids.
• Dumping or pouring required amounts of materials into machines and equipment.
• Surveying the production process and checking the machines and equipment to make sure safe and effective operation.
• Gathering samples of materials or products to be sent to the lab for testing.
• Utilizing hand tools or other devices to add or mix chemicals and ingredients during the processing.
• Visually or manually inspecting materials, components and products to guarantee that it meets the set standards.
• Documenting the operational and production data on specified forms.
• Transferring supplies and products between different areas, using moving equipment and hand tools.
• Attaching related equipment such as pumps and conveyors to move ingredients or materials throughout production activities.
• Studying formulas and product standards to determine production specifications and information.
• Mixing and processing components or dyes in accordance with the formulas.
• Cleaning and maintaining machines and equipment, using hand tools and power equipment.
• Eliminating and removing clogged materials or other items from machines and equipment, using manual tools.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
