Overview (Scope Of Role)

The Responsible Care (EH &S) Leaderis responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of EH&S/ES&S processes and performance at Bristol, PA operations to ensure the corporate EH&S, ES&S and financial objectives are met. Provides coordination and leadership for the effective implementation of EH&S/ES&S systems at the site level. This role is primarily focused on driving behavioral and technology related EH&S improvements at the location.

Responsibilities

• Leads EH&S/ES&S Work Processes and initiatives to deliver geographic and business expectations for performance (zero injuries, zero LOPCs (Loss of Primary Containment), and zero process safety events).
• Analyzes and evaluates site EH&S/ES&S performance to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
• Develops strategic EH&S/ES&S performance improvement plans and goals.
• Develops and implements site environmental strategy.
• Implements process safety performance improvement activities related to work practices or behaviors.
• Able to lead and participate in corporate level initiatives and teams in order to drive EH&S improvements.
• Participates in local community outreach and Responsible Care efforts such as Community Action Panel and LEPCs.
• Accountable for cost-effective delivery of EH&S and ES&S systems.
• Selects, staffs, and develops an effective implementation organization after consultation with appropriate leadership
• Ensures compliance with local and regional regulatory requirements and provide geographic advocacy.
• Coordinates EH&S capital projects.
• Initiates and manages site level Compliance Plans and Variances.
• Supports LOPA/LPP gap closure.
• People leadership for 2 direct reports.
• Ensures effective site implementation of management systems, training and document management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical preferred)
• 10+ years manufacturing experience
• 5+ years environmental, safety and health experience
• Chemical Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred
• Experience with external regulatory requirements and agencies both at the federal and state level
• Demonstrate influential leadership skills, inspire others and lead EH&S implementation initiatives across the site
