We’re looking for a Configuration Management Specialist. This is a sampling of the knowledge, skills and experience you possess to successfully perform this job.

PURPOSE: Compiles and maintains control records and related files to released blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents to manufacturing and other operating departments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES EXPECTATIONS:

· Examine documents such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, specifications, product user manuals and test procedures to verify completeness and accuracy of data

· Confer with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents.

· Organize and prepare documents, procedures and drawings for release

· Validate drawing & ERP Bills of Material (BOM) per CM procedures

· Review, release and electronically organize with the help of the CM assistant, Quality Management System Documentation using the Unipoint software program. Assist in review and updating of QMS documents.

· Assist the QMS representative in performing Internal Audits.

· Review & Release of software file revisions

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding Configuration Management, Quality Control, Statistical Process Control and Lean Manufacturing a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced computer skills, working knowledge of MRP and ERP type systems, working with, updating and entering BOM (bills of materials)
