Part Time Unpaid Internship The Troubadour is looking for an intern to assist the Director of Marketing and Promotions, Talent Buyer & General Manager here in the Troubadour's business office. This internship is open to college students who can receive credit and are studying any of the following: Music Industry, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Business. If you think your current major will allow you to get credit for an internship with us, but is not listed here, please let us know. We're preferably looking to have an intern 2 - 3 afternoons a week (M-F, 1-7pm) to start the second week of January until the end of May. Intern will be responsible for: -creating Facebook events -updating and creating copy for Troubadour Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & Spotify accounts -managing show posters in the venue -assisting with various marketing duties Intern will assist with: -ticketing -production/hospitality set up -light office duties (phones, filing, copying, faxing etc.) -venue upkeep (inventories, etc.) -contributing ideas for marketing plans WHO we are looking for: -strong ability to read social situations -strong ability to take direction -strong ability to multitask -great attention to detail -familiar with Facebook -familiar with Twitter -familiar with Spotify -familiar with Instagram -experience with Photoshop would be great, but not required. -comfortable answering phones -self starter -outgoing -easy going -friendly -sarcastic (but not too sarcastic) -prompt -reliable -sense of humor -more or less a normal person, quirkiness okay -knowledge of music a plus, but not necessary as long as you are willing to learn!
