We are looking for a Mid-Level PHP Developer responsible for maintaining back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for building and integrating the front-end elements into the application. Therefore, an understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• You’ll be writing efficient, testable, and reusable PHP code. 

• You’ll be maintaining legacy PHP and JavaScript code while adding new functionality. 

• You’ll be creating/updating UI elements with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery, KendoUI, and some vanilla JavaScript), primarily with Blade and KendoUI templates.

Required Qualifications 

• You have knowledge of PHP web frameworks. We use Laravel. 

• You’re familiar with the MVC design pattern. 

• You know how to write object oriented PHP code. 

• You’re familiar with SQL databases and their declarative query languages. We use MySQL. 

• You can use code versioning tools. We use Git. 

• You understand front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 

• BS degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field, or relevant work experience 

• Comfortable with pair programming

Bonus Skills 

• Laravel Framework experience 

• KendoUI experience 

• AWS experience

Education and Experience 

This is a mid-level position; we're looking for somebody who has at least 3+ years of web development experience.
