The Grinder, under the direction of the Blending Supervisor, will be responsible for the removal of all scrap material from production and running it through the grinding equipment for reuse into the manufacturing process. Will ensure all dust collected is removed from the dust collection system and will ensure regrind lines and blending lines are supplied with regrind material. Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Contributes to accident free operations and compliance to all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements and regulations
- Fills hopper with sorted material to be ground
- Changes dust collection bags from all collection systems for the extrusion area
- Separates scrap and regrind by color and performs proper identification by use of a tag
- Gives production support in the staging of bins, skids, and regrind for use
- Performs daily maintenance check on forklift at the beginning of each shift before use
- Informs Maintenance or Supervisor of any problems with grinding equipment
- Uses safe operating procedures while operating forklift
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
