We're hiring a hands-on Automotive Accessories Installer to handle service body, flatbed, and truck accessory work. Day-to-day, you'll be mounting and servicing toolboxes, nerf bars, and the full range of truck add-ons that come through our shop. You'll run your own bench with minimal oversight, backed by a shop that's been in business 29 years and a lead manager with close to 40 years in the trade. Responsibilities: • Engaging in learning opportunities to update job knowledge and technical skills • Remedy mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems • Work with auto mechanic team members to determine vehicle problems and solutions • Inspect, test drive, and perform diagnostic tests to determine vehicle problems, parts needed for repairs, and necessary work • Maintain accurate customer records for vehicles’ repairs, parts, maintenance histories, and more Install toolboxes, nerf bars, and other truck accessories Assist in the installation of service bodies and flatbeds on trucks Operate a forklift safely as part of daily work Maintain parts inventory and keep a clean, safe work area Maintain and repair tools and equipment as needed Work efficiently both in a team and independently, without micromanagement Learn additional skills, such as spray bed liner application, over time Be open to working overtime as required Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary • Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired • Required state-issued driver’s license • Experience and manual dexterity using hand tools and other equipment is needed • Associate’s degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus High school diploma or GED equivalent necessaryStrong work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skillsValid state-issued driver's license requiredHands-on experience and manual dexterity with hand tools and shop equipmentAssociate's degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonusSelf-starter who can work independently without supervisionVerifiable experience in this type of work is helpful - we will be checking referencesWelding experience helpful (you do not need to be a licensed welder - welding is a small part of the job).
