Class A Flatbed Driver Job Description

Jon Poling Trucking is a local family owner & operated company who is looking for qualified Class A CDL drivers to run Local & Regional Flatbed Lanes.

Salary:

· Pay by Percentage of the load. $65,000 - $100,000+. (Opportunity is endless)

o Bonus opportunities are available.

Responsibilities:

· Inspect vehicles for mechanical items & safety issues before and after trip (record/report all findings)

· Plan routes using Maps or GPS and meet delivery schedules.

· Monitor Road Conditions & watch for traffic hazards (Take special precautions)

· Tie down & tarp loads (if applicable) to ensure safe transportation

· Keep Truck, Trailer, and Equipment in good working order (Fill truck with fuel, clean truck, wash windows, and top off any fluids if applicable during transport).

· Deliver load by the predetermined time (Customer Service is top priority)

· Document rest periods and miles spent driving.

· Retain Fuel/Toll receipts

· Follow accident procedures if any accidents occur.

· Report any incidents, accidents, or violations encountered on the road.

· Take rest periods during trip.

· Comply with Truck Driving rules and regulations (size weight, route designations, parking & break periods) as well as company policies and procedures.

· Retain all paperwork for each load. Sign and retain copies of BOL upon delivery.

Qualifications:

· Driving: 3 year (Required)

· CDL Class A (Required)

· Clean driving record

· US work authorization (required)

· Must possess a high degree of integrity and have the ability to work independently

· Solid work ethic and be someone the team can rely on.
