    Triple S Trucking & Equipment is a leading provider in the logistics and heavy equipment transport industry. We specialize in hauling oversized and heavy machinery across state lines with a focus on safety, precision, and customer satisfaction. We're looking for a skilled CDL driver experienced in hauling heavy loads who wants consistent work and home time every week.

    Position Summary:

    The Heavy Equipment CDL Driver will be responsible for safely transporting construction and industrial equipment over long distances. The driver will typically be on the road for 3 to 4 days per trip , ensuring timely delivery, proper load securement, and compliance with DOT regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate company trucks and trailers to haul heavy equipment, machinery, or oversized loads.

    • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.

    • Secure loads using appropriate tie-downs, chains, and binders per FMCSA standards.

    • Maintain accurate driver logs, trip sheets, and fuel receipts.

    • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.

    • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.

    • Perform minor maintenance checks (oil, lights, tires) and report mechanical issues promptly.

    • Ensure equipment and cargo are handled safely to prevent damage or delay.

    • Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients on delivery sites.

    Schedule:

    • 3 to 4 days over the road (OTR) per trip

    • Occasional weekend routes depending on delivery schedules

    • Regular home time between runs

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.

    • Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy haul, lowboy, or step-deck trailers preferred.

    • Experience with oversized/overweight loads is a plus.

    • Ability to read and interpret maps, route sheets, and load permits.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

    • Must pass a DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening.
