Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Truck and Equipment Mechanic to join our established repair shop in North Tonawanda, NY (outside of Buffalo, NY).

An in-depth understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical components is required. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, preparing repair worksheets, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and provide accurate advice. Works well individually and is team-oriented. Able to use state of the art computer diagnostics equipment to navigate problem solving.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop and shop equipment and trucks

Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as drum/shoes/brake pad installations and oil changes

Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes

Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business

Service Truck and Repair general experience preferred

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required

Works well individually and with a team

Strong customer service and communication skills are requir

NYS Inspection License (preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire)

Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Clean background and driving history

Drug tests required

US citizen required
