    True Classic is looking for an experienced and passionate superstar to lead our expansion into brick-and-mortar retail. True Classic launched in late 2019 and has grown to become one of the hottest direct-to-consumer men's apparel brands in the market, continuing to experience rapid growth despite changes to digital advertising and the macroeconomic environment. As such, this individual should be a true self-starter who can roll his/her sleeves up and dive right in. 

    This individual will have extensive experience in the retail environment, from creating the strategy to launching stores, managing the customer experience and in-store teams, owning KPIs and making continuous improvements. This individual will work cross-functionally to drive the retail strategy and associated operations, and ultimately be responsible for its success. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer at True Classic.

    • Create, own and execute the strategy to expand into brick-and-mortar retail
    • Manage the overall retail business / P&L
    • Determine best cities, locations and placements for True Classic stores, and help execute lease agreements with favorable terms
    • Manage the store design process, leveraging existing ideas and adding his/her own to create the ideal store experience
    • Develop concepts for store merchandising and bring them to life
    • Develop and execute retail training programs to create the right experience for True Classic customers
    • Recruit, hire and train corporate and in-store teams
    • Manage all day-to-day in-store operations, including technology projects
    • Work cross-functionally with partners across the organization to develop a marketing calendar, in-store assortment and operational plans
    • Identify, onboard and manage all external retail vendors
    • Manage the existing retail store footprint
    • Develop materials for C-Suite level discussions

    Required Skills:

    • 10+ years prior experience launching and operating retail stores, ideally for an apparel and/or direct-to-consumer brand
    • P&L responsibility
    • Omnichannel experience
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to drive ideas from concept to completion, to quickly overcome obstacles/roadblocks, and to multi-task and balance multiple projects/priorities
    • Demonstrated ability to build world-class teams
    • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive projects and solve problems
    • Excellent communication skills; can easily communicate with everyone in the organization from executives to entry-level team members
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and interest; willing to roll-up sleeves and do whatever it takes to get to the best answer and win as a team
    • Professional and approachable style with a high degree of personal integrity
    • Preferred: Experience working in a startup environment

    Annual base salary range: $140,000 - $180,000

    Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
