    Job Description:

    We are a warehouse distributor / manufacture of automotive chemicals, detailing supplies and dealer products that serves the automotive industry in the greater Houston area.

    We currently have an open position for warehouse supervisor responsible for our warehouse overseeing a team of 2-3 employees.

    The main duties in our warehouse are: blending and packaging of products, pulling orders for deliveries, receiving inventory shipments, stocking shelves of inventory, cleaning and keeping the warehouse/inventory organized, maintain the warehouse equipment. What is required for this position:

    The warehouse supervisor must be physically fit and have the stamina for an 8 hour day. Must be able to lift 50 lb boxes and move 55-gallon drums.

    Being a positive person, takes responsibility, is pro-active, has leadership skills, and displays them well, has problem-solving skills.

    Responsibility for increasing efficiency

    Has knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety policies for warehouse duties.

    Experience:

    • Supervising Experience: 2 years
    • Warehouse Experience: 3 years
    • Forklift: 3 years

    Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Directs personnel and schedules for receiving, plant to plant movements and kitting
    • Coordinates daily pickup and shipment requirements
    • Schedule kitting for delivery notes and forward with associated documentation to shipping personnel
    • Assign and manage warehouse storage racks and bins including ERP bin and plant assignments
    • Monitors warehouse storage rack height and weight limitations
    • Maintains proper hazardous material storage, packaging and segregation
    • Reviews and approves inventory adjustments made for cycle counts or other related inventory discrepancies
    • Maintains accurate transactional data requirements in the ERP system
    • Oversees and assists inventory control personnel with ERP transactions
    • Ensures effective employee relations; resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
    • Provides training to employees to develop and encourage technical and operational performance; trains employees on processes.
    • Ensure employees adhere to workplace guidelines and policies.
    • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
    • Recommends measures to improve shipping and receiving schedules, methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
    • Monitors and improves productivity levels and use equipment to increase efficiency of department and team.
    • Provides overall employee/team development strategies through coaching and performance measurement.
    • Implements strategies to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
    • Manages lean initiatives and 6S program in work area.
    • Participates with activities directly related to ISO certification and on-going conformance.
    • Oversees warehouse safety equipment and monitors any safety issues and improvements

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Four year college degree, or equivalent, plus six years related experience in material control and warehousing management including physical inventory cycle counts.
    • Experience supervising a team of employees.
    • Experience with ERP systems and MS Office required. Preferred: SAP Warehouse Management.
    • Familiarity with Lean Kaizen and 6S Lean.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal directions, prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
    • Must possess the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, climb on ladders, and work in different temperatures.
    • Forklift certification is preferred.
