  • Responsibilities

    This position entails spearheading the development and execution of national and local-specific strategies aimed at enhancing rolling stock utilization and maximizing return on investment. The Logistics Manager will lead tactical initiatives focused on rolling stock strategies pertaining to the existing fleet, encompassing conversions, substitutions, relocations, large-scale redeployments, used sales, and modifications. Additionally, they will craft and uphold a strategic rolling stock fleet plan crucial for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

     

    **YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:**

     

    \- Supervising a fleet of 3,500 vehicles.

    \- Cultivating comprehensive knowledge of idle rolling stock throughout North America.

    \- Devising plans to optimize rolling stock usage across the organization in close collaboration with local Field Operations teams.

    \- Directing the tactical implementation of key rolling stock fleet-related business strategies, including managing field inventory, asset disposition, system data integrity, asset redeployment, online showroom maintenance, and other assigned areas.

    \- Enhancing SOX compliance within rolling stock fleet-related projects and operations.

    \- Generating and disseminating rolling stock fleet data reports as needed.

    \- Collaborating with Field Operations teams to identify appropriate rolling stock solutions tailored to meet customer needs.

    \- Reviewing and providing input on specifications for new rolling stock.

    \- Conducting factory visits and inspections of new production units as necessary.

    \- Ensuring that unit modifications uphold rolling stock valuations.

    \- Offering regular updates to Senior Management on project progress and action plans.

    \- Formulating and executing asset redeployment plans to optimize rolling stock asset utilization while minimizing costs.

    \- Assisting with general rolling stock training for Field Operations teams.

    \- Ensuring accurate accounting for all rolling stock in collaboration with field teams.

    \- Maintaining electronic records of rolling stock fleet specifications.

    \- Overseeing overall quality control for all managed projects.

     

    **EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:**

     

    \- 5+ years of experience in asset management or operations leadership.

    \- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a corporate environment while effectively collaborating with remote team members.

    \- Willingness to travel as required.

    \- Strong proficiency in managing product quality, meeting deadlines, handling high volume requirements, and managing multiple projects concurrently.

    \- Ability to interact with and manage 3rd party vendors effectively.

    \- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    \- Proficient in PC applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP is advantageous.
