TITLE: TEA AMBASSADOR

Do you love tea? Are you passionate about selling a high quality product? Do you have direct customer sales experience, especially by attending craft shows, festivals, and events? You might be the perfect next Tea Ambassador for True Honey Teas!

ABOUT US: We're a family owned, fast-growing tea company based in Northern Virginia. We're quickly expanding and would like to have a presence at fairs, festivals, and other events all around the country. Our product is very unique - we mix high quality tea with honey granules right inside the tea bag so all you have to do is drop the tea bag in a cup of hot water and you're good to go. Delicious tea with the perfect honey balance already infused!

THE TEA AMBASSADOR'S JOB: Your job is extremely important and essential to the success of the company. You are representing all of us in front of thousands of people at events every weekend. You will need to be able to set up our booth, brew tea samples, actively converse with the customers, and sell lots of tea! This is a part-time or full-time position, mostly weekends (events are usually Sat-Sun, or Fri-Sun). We can be somewhat flexible with your schedule of available weekends, but would like that you can typically work 3 weekends per month. All tea ambassadors will be w4 employees working for company, not 1099 contractors.

Key requirements for success : )

• be friendly, kind, courteous, and respectful to every customer!
• Be willing to show up early to events to set up, stay and work the booth for the WHOLE time (sometimes 10hr days)
• have vehicle large enough to carry booth supplies and tea inventory (typically something like a crossover or small SUV is the minimum size needed)
• be willing to drive up to 5 hours to attend a show. Hotel and travel expenses are covered for out of town events. (we try to keep events as close as possible to you, but occasionally will request you do an out of town event)
• be able to lift up to 35lbs sometimes and set up booth (setting up canopy tent, tables, signs, moving boxes, etc)
• have a smart phone with data service that can use the square point of sale app (we will give you a log in, you just need a phone that can download and work the app)
• file inventory and sales report to us at the end of each show
• have a can-do attitude, willingness to solve problems, and be excited to grow True Honey Teas into a national brand!

We've been attending sales events for a long time with a small team and we're excited to bring new team members on! We have all the information and details you need to be a success. We will also provide all of the supplies!

Compensation is an hourly base pay with sales commission. Starting wages depend on experience. We love to give incentive bonuses to sell lots of tea!

Note: Training for this position will take place in Rochester at an event on May 8,9,15,16. Then, your first solo event will be in Rochester on May 22 and 23.
