    We are seeking a full-time Peer TCL Team Lead to provide support and supervision to the Peer Support staff and provide therapy to their consumers. The purpose of the Peer Support Specialist Transition to Community Living service is to enhance the consumer’s ability to function and achieve their goals while residing in an independent living/community setting. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling. Social Work, or Psychology required and at least one year of experience and full licensure preferred. Must have a current and active Mental Health License in NC (i.e LCSWA, LCMHCA).

    We are seeking a full-time Peer TCL Team Lead to provide the following services:

    The Peer Support Specialist Team Lead will provide support and supervision to the Peer Support staff and provide therapy to their consumers. The purpose of the Peer Support Specialist Transition to Community Living service is to enhance the consumer’s ability to function and achieve their goals while residing in an independent living/community setting.

    • Providing individual, family, or group therapy to clients and their families/natural supports, based on needs, diagnoses, and best evidence-based practices and in a way that adheres to the Agency’s core values.
    • Implementing therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psycho-educational activities, and other best evidence-based practice therapies available.
    • Using quality supervisory skills.
    • Possessing the knowledge of the CPSS role and work, as well as, understanding the principles and philosophy of recovery and the code of ethics of the NC Peer Support Specialist Certification Program.
    • Understanding and supporting the role of the Certified Peer Support Services.
    • Understanding and promoting the beneficiary’s recovery.
    • Advocating for the Certified Peer Support Services role across the organization and in the community.
    • Promoting both the professional and personal growth of the Certified Peer Support Services within established human resource standards.
    • Coordinating assessments needed for the beneficiary. If appropriately licensed, the QP may conduct the assessments.
    • Collaborating with beneficiary(s) and Certified Peer Support Services to develop a recovery-oriented person-centered plan for the beneficiary that demonstrates consideration for integrated care.
    • Conducting at least one in-person, telehealth, or telephonic, audio-only communication contact with the beneficiary within 90 days of Peer Support Services being initiated and no less that every 90 days thereafter to monitor the beneficiary’s progress and effectiveness of the program; and to review with the beneficiary the goals of their PCP and document progress.
    • Planning work assignments, monitors, reviews and evaluates work performance of program staff and facilitates staff meetings and conducts routine reviews of service notes for quality assurance.
    • Providing administrative and supportive supervision to program staff individually at least once per month or more if needed. Provision of supervision must be based on the experience of the individual staff.
    • Collaborating with program staff to assess strengths and areas of growth and develop an individual supervision plan.
    • Collaborating and fostering collegial roles with program staff.
    • Determining team caseload size based on the level of acuity and needs of the beneficiary(s).
    • Facilitating or co-facilitating skill building recovery groups based on the needs or requests of beneficiaries.
    • Ensuring referrals for community resources requested by beneficiary(s) are completed.
    • Providing individual and group therapy as needed for assigned individuals.
    • Teaching activities-of-daily-living, social, interpersonal relationship, and leisure-time-activity services to the Certified Peer Support staff.
    • Completing PCPs, treatment notes, goals, and plans for the medical record.
    • Provide outpatient therapy (individual, group, and family)
    • Provide case management services
    • May provide testimony in court at times.
