TrueRate is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic, fiscal, and operational leadership. The right candidate will be both a strategic visionary and cultural leader of the company. This person must be ready to provide inspired leadership, establish a strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, and set a clear roadmap for company strategy. This person must also have established experience working with OKRs and KPIs. The CEO role will have a direct and significant impact on TrueRate’s revenue growth, scale, and growth capital raising.
This position will be based in the company’s New York City office and will require periodic domestic travel.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

- Possess a deep financial background with ability to manage profitability and operations of the company’s business segments
- Have a strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, particularly with respect to capital markets transactions.

- Understand how technology is impacting the advisory industry and is a leader in speaking to about technology in the CRE sector.
- Understand how debt and equity placement works in CRE sector and will preferably have access to high-level relationships with debt and equity counterparties nationally
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Act as the primary spokesperson and public face of the company, including: conferences, panels and investor meetings
- Set and guide high level, top-down strategic initiatives
- Lead capital procurement efforts through growth capital funding rounds
- Nurture the company’s culture and vision
- Assist with recruitment of senior level employees
- Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting and auditing
- Interface with the board of directors and external stakeholders
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, including setting KPIs and OKRs for various sub-verticals and teams
- Evaluate staff performance, set and review business objectives and staff goals
- Assess and mitigate risks to the company
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in commercial real estate, fintech, or financial services
- Experience managing P&Ls and proven success in enabling rapid revenue growth
- Superior leadership skills with proven competence in setting and executing metric-driven accountability
- Experience with seed and venture funding processes
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and modeling skills with the ability to distill data into actionable results
- Must be able to travel overnight and attend meetings and conferences
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required
- MBA or JD is preferred
