    We are looking for a professional, self-motivated Receptionist to join our growing team! Ideally this individual will have worked in anoffice setting with focus on providing high-quality service.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone with clients and professionals
    • Exceptional customer service skills—both verbal and written
    • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines
    • Ability to answer and manage multi-line phone system

    • Proficient with computers and software applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting tools
    • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a printing/copying/scanning machines
    • Ability to learn new processes, software, and systems quickly
    • Ability to operate in a team as well as independently without direct supervision—proactive—self starter
    • Ability to follow professional dress code
    • Experience with taxes or financial services a plus, and/or securities licenses (not required)

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Based on experience level you may perform all or some of the responsibilities below:

    • Provide administrative, customer service and phone support to staff and management, including mailing, faxing, copying, responding to emails, managing calendars and contacts, and scheduling appointments
    • Assist in booking appointments, answering inhouse and customers service queries
    • Update client information and marketing materials
    • Run business errands
    • General office care and organization

    Schedule:

    • Day shift
    • Monday to Friday

    Education:

    • High school or equivalent

    Experience:

    • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Qualifications
    • Demonstrates a clear understanding of PIH Health mission and values
    • Ability to work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patients
    • Ability to generate revenue with POS collections, establishing payment arrangements, along with collecting on all Self-Pay and/or high liability accounts at the point of registration.
    • EMTALA knowledge and experience
    • Demonstrates attention to detail and follow up process
    • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with patients, healthcare providers and insurance companies
    • Excellent English reading, comprehension and written skills to include spelling skills and penmanship
    • Excellent Mathematical skills; ability to calculate copay or percentage of financial estimate amount due and/or establish payment arrangements accurately.
    • Ability to follow directions as outlined in policies or given by supervisor
    • Strong computer skills to include typing 45+ wpm minimum and in MS office programs
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment at times of need and emergency situations
    • Bilingual preferred
    • Interacts with all levels of hospital and outside vendor staff and knowledge of government regulations
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast and high pressure environment
    • Stringent adherence to all privacy policies and procedures and as required by state and federal law including and not limited to the HIPPA Security and Privacy Rules
