Status: Full Time

Hours: 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m., including weekends as scheduled

Basic Summary: Performs all Imaging exams. Is knowledgeable in the operation of equipment and the procedure/protocols for producing high quality images to furnish diagnostic information to radiologist. Provides quality care for all patients. Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values.

Requirements: 

• Graduate of an Accredited School for Radiologic Technologist, required
• ARRT, required
• IEMA, required.
• BLS CPR certification, required

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Working Conditions-Physical Requirements & Atmosphere: • Functions effectively in a team oriented environment. • Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong customer service skills. • Potential exposure to infectious diseases. • Requires ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally. • Physical demands include repetitive motions of the hands, walking, standing, and reaching above the head. • Physically able to perform the duties as stated above.

Required Skills Required Experience

Minimum Education: High school or GED.

Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms.

Communicate with customers, other associates and supervisors using verbal and written skills and use safe lifting techniques.

Must be able to:

1. Lift 65 pounds from ground level to standing position, 20 pounds, including the ability to lift above the head.
2. Pull 20 pounds from a standing position, from various levels, including the ability to lift above the head.
3. Pull 20 pounds from a kneeling position, from various level, including the ability to lift above the head.
4. Stand and/or walk for an 8-10 hour shift.
5. Frequently bend and stoop during an 8-10 hour shift.

Clean driving record and current operator’s license.

Temperatures will vary.

Dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools.

Ear protection required when exposed to noise for an extended period of time.

Eye protection and steel toed (safety toed) hard sole leather boots required at all times. 

Overtime work could be involved.
