    The DATA ENTRY OPERATOR performs various procedures associated with entering or reviewing patient information, verifying benefit eligibility, charges, insurance and patient payments for services imported and/or entered in the practice management system.

    Required Skills

    • Data entry, computer keyboard and 10-key touch, ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
    • Knowledge of computer practice management systems and other computer systems (Microsoft Office, electronic health records).
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Ability to identify and solve problems.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Effective time management skills

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • MUST HAVE ONE (1) YEAR OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE PERFORMING CHARGE ENTRY, PAYMENT POSTING
    • Knowledge of ICD-9 CM and CPT coding systems.
