  • Responsibilities

    Summary: To perform massage therapy on patients as directed by medical provider.

    Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Clinical Duties

    Have a certified understanding of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, other connective tissues, Lymphatic vessels, organs and gastrointestinal system.

    Prepare massage rooms for patient treatment, keeping rooms neat and clean.

    Check stock in each room and replenish needed items: Paper towels, massage lotion, sheets, etc.

    Learn D.O.T. (Deep Osculation Therapy), Cupping, and Gua Sha. Perform each as instructed.

    Have knowledge of the practice services as provided by various providers.

    Answer inquiries and educate patients under provider’s guidance/recommendation only.

    Remain current on all OSHA & MSDS training.

    Continue education and personal growth to maintain all registrations, license, and certifications.

    Attend team meetings and health fairs to promote the company as needed.

    Presents a consistent willingness to learn new skills and positive demeanor with both patients and co-workers.

    Massage Therapy Certification.

    Qualifications:

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, clinics and pharmacies. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and concrete variables.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and order processing system.

    Educations/Experience:

    Massage Therapy Certification Required.

    1-year experience preferred.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Massage Therapy Certification.
