    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    • EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, OR TRAINING DESIRED:
      • Minimum of Master's degree in quantitative subject e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics;
      • Minimum of five years of working experience programming, modeling, estimating, evaluating statistical models;
      • Completed courses in statistics including linear regression, maximum likelihood estimation, sample selection, R programming;
      • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement appropriate statistical models for answering specific research questions;
      • Demonstrated ability to write, run, debug, statistical models;
      • Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret statistical model results;
      • Strong written and oral communications skills.

    • CORE OUTPUT STATEMENT AND DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW
      • The Data Science Analyst is responsible for independently conduct research to identify and apply relevant R packages for accomplishing programming objectives.
    • ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Write and test code to implement development objectives for enhancing Company products;
      • Conduct independent research to identify and apply statistical tools for accomplishing product objectives;
      • Extensively document own code;
      • Code internal checks for proper code functioning;
      • Carefully review/test own work before submitting for further review;
      • Debug own code and the code of others;
      • Construct test cases for own code and code of others;
      • Filter, sort, compute summary statistics, pivot tables and merge data in spreadsheets;
      • Rapidly revise code in response to changes in product specifications;
      • Troubleshoot and propose workarounds to development roadblocks;
      • Perform regular updates to maintain current base R and libraries on your computer;
      • Work within a version control system for maintaining code (git);
      • Estimate task completion dates;
      • Provide frequent, timely updates to task progress at agreed upon times;
      • Meet agreed upon deadlines.
