    The Trust Accounting Specialist position is remote within these states: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, or WA

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Trust Accounting Specialist to support financial operations for multiple law firm clients. This position requires a strong understanding of trust accounting regulations, law firm financials, and the ability to manage multiple sets of books with precision and consistency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and reconcile trust (IOLTA) and operating accounts in compliance with state bar rules

    • Perform accurate and timely three-way trust reconciliations

    • Manage general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll entries

    • Handle monthly and quarterly closings across multiple sets of books

    • Prepare and deliver accurate financial reports to clients within established deadlines

    • Utilize QuickBooks (Online and Desktop) and legal practice management software such as Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther

    • Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and accounting best practices

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or staff accountant experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment

    • Hands-on experience with trust accounting and IOLTA compliance

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with legal billing software

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

    • Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines

    • Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with frequent oversight and accountability metrics

    • Must reside in one of the following states: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, NC, NJ, NY, PA, TX, VA, or WA
