What You'll Be Doing You'll handle a mix of estate planning, trust and probate administration, and business matters. We're growing fast, and we're looking for someone who can contribute meaningfully--on day one. Compensation: Total compensation package between $80,000 - $120,000 which includes performance-based bonuses, health insurance, 401(k) with employer matching contributions, paid time off, continuing legal education and bar dues. Responsibilities: • Lead client consultations and deliver, clear, strategic legal advice (no hiding behind legalese). • Draft and review comprehensive estate plans, including revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts and asset protection trusts. • Navigate probate and trust administration with compassion and confidence. • Represent clients in court on probate matters, including guardianship and conservatorship, when necessary. • Stay sharp: keep up with developments in estate and tax law. • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff. • Take ownership of your files, deadlines, communication and outcomes. Qualifications: • Are licensed to practice law in Michigan. • Can confidently design and implement foundational estate plans and advanced estate planning strategies, or navigate probate--and can show us how you do it well. • Don't wait to be told what to do--you see what needs doing and get it done. • Know how to build rapport and trust with clients quickly and comfortably. • Are organized, self-accountable, and take pride in producing excellent legal work. • Embrace growth, change, and continuous improvement--personally and professionally.
