Trust Brands in Ogden is looking for a part-time IT specialist to assist in the day to day IT operations. The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, curious, and a trend setter. Technical aptitude is a must, so if the idea of swapping out a bad RAM DIMM frightens you, this gig probably isn't your jam! Trust Brands is the parent company of 4 fast growing software companies (Shopper Approved, Trust Guard, Local Reviews, and Cart Rocket). We pride ourselves in building software to allow the little guys to take on bigger retail spaces like Amazon and Ebay on their own terms. The two oldest companies Trust Guard and Shopper Approved have been in Ogden for more than 10 years!

As an IT Specialist, a typical day could include:

• Help administer all software applications and cloud services used by the company including the phone system, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, etc.
• Monitor user activity in applications and cloud services, performing audits of user permissions and adding/removing users as needed.
• Maintain and monitor an inventory of company assets and perform audits to ensure everything is up to date.
• Monitor network activity and maintain the firewall
• Troubleshoot any issues with IT infrastructure including network hardware, employee computers and peripheral devices, security cameras, etc.
• Perform any other tasks related to information technology as requested.

Requirements:

• Possess a high technical aptitude
• Familiarity with with MS Office/MS 365 applications
• Familiarity with with Windows, Linux, and Mac OS operating systems
• Firm understanding of basic networking concepts
• Experience with basic firewall configuration
• Firm understanding of basic computer hardware & maintenance
• Ability to install most software with no external guidance needed

Bonus Points:

• CompTIA certifications like A+, Networking, or Security+
• Prior IT experience
• Bachelor's degree in computing or networking
• Prior experience in working in a SME environment
• A true desire to keep growing in this space

Pay:

• Salary is negotiated based on experience.
