    JOB BRIEF:

    The Human Resources Generalist II will assist with running the daily functions of the HR Department including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, managing employee records, HR Compliance, drafting and enforcing HR and Company policies, procedures, and processes, handling employee communications, etc. This is a full-time exempt salary position.nbsp; This is an on-site office position.nbsp;

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work as an HR Partner to Generalist III and Director: reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and on-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, EEO, anti-harassment, anti-discrimination training, professional licensure, aptitude exams, certifications, etc.
    • Primarily recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
    • Implements new hire orientation, performance review, and employee recognition programs.
    • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
    • Engage and partner with key HR partners across various departmental functions.
    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and develops policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and those related to government contractors.
    • Manage and implement improvements in the Human Resources Department’s systems/practices in line with the company’s mission and strategic direction.
    • Identify and implement company policies, procedures, and processes.
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned or required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills and abilities to work with HR Team and across departments required.
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • 3-5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
    • Self-starter with the ability to work under limited supervision with a high level of autonomy is required.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
    • This position is a remote position and may require 20% domestic travel.
