Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now, and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. Associate will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You’ll also be responsible for drafting documents, managing staff, and keeping client files up to date. We are looking for an experienced Probate/Guardianship Attorney. This is a HYBRID position. In-office preferred. Could be partially remote with demonstrated teamwork/leadership skills can be considered. Responsibilities • You MUST be able to manage your cases from beginning to end.Must be able to delegate to and supervise the work of paralegals and assistants.Review and edit drafts of probate documents for formal administrations, guardianships and conservatorships.Draft substantive complaints, motions, oppositions, correspondence and other pleadings for contested matters.Draft and respond to interrogatories, subpoenas and document requests.Attend meetings and court hearings.This is a client-facing position.You will be dealing directly with clients and responsible for communicating with other counsel. Responsibilities: • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys • Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • 3+ years of Probate, Guardianship, and Adversarial Probate experience or enough to be COMPETENT, CONFIDENT, and mostly AUTONOMOUS in this role • You must be able to take a file from start to finish on your own • Must be a member of The Florida Bar • Bilingual English/Spanish • This is a full-time position with a base salary + quarterly performance bonuses Compensation: $100,000
