We are looking for a highly analytical candidate with good negotiation and organizing skills who can work full-time. As our estate planning attorney, you will draft wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for clients and their families. To ensure that an estate's management is handled in accordance with the wishes of the estate owner, this position requires a significant level of responsibility. Responsibilities: • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Advise clients regarding retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options • Communicate with clients about plans for dispersing their assets • Draft and file wills, trusts, and powers of attorney • Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, power of attorney documents, healthcare directives, and succession plans. • Conduct consultations to identify clients’ estate planning needs and objectives, crafting custom solutions tailored to complex family dynamics and significant assets. • Collaborate closely with our family law attorneys, financial planners, CPAs, and other professional advisors to deliver holistic client solutions. • Review and analyze existing estate plans to provide clients with updates, optimizations, or modifications based on evolving legal standards or personal circumstances. Qualifications: • Great communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school. • Active California State Bar license in good standing. • Minimum 3-5 years of specialized experience in estate planning and probate law. • Exceptional legal drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building skills. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client cases independently with superior organizational and time-management skills. • Tech-savvy with familiarity in modern case management and estate planning software (experience with WealthCounsel a plus).
