    Job Description

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Trust Management Network (TMN) is a full-service provider of trust operations outsourcing to banks and independent trust companies located throughout the country.  For more than 20 years, client institutions have entrusted TMN with the day-to-day management of their back office trust operations.  Functions typically handled by TMN and its employees range from daily postings, to asset reconciliation, to regulatory compliance, and more.

    TMN is currently looking for a capable and committed Cash Processing Specialist to join our trust operations team.  This is an entry-level position that exposes new employees to many different areas of the trust operations business.

    The Cash Processing Specialist position is primarily responsible for daily processing of cash accounting activities of trust clients by performing the following duties:

    -          Reconciles and posts income on all securities, marketable and miscellaneous.

    -          Processes cash receipts as directed by client.

    -          Processes cash disbursement requests as directed by client.

    -          Prepares cash disbursement checks, wires, and ACH.

    -          Processes ACM trade.

    -          Performs miscellaneous asset setup.

    -          Performs miscellaneous assets in-kind transfers

    -          Prepares pending item release.

    -          Performs tax withholding processing.

    -          Processes stop payment requests.

    -          Assists with the mail distribution.

    -          Performs tax lot adjustments - miscellaneous assets.

    -          Performs common fund accounting.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Trust Accounting Software (Charlotte); Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook) and Presentation software (PowerPoint).
