MEDICAL ASSISTANT – TRUSTED MEDICAL

Trusted Medical is the clinical delivery affiliate of the National Coordination Center (www.nationalcoordinationcenter... role will directly support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in conducting assessments for determination of disability benefits for Veterans applying for benefits from the VA. The Medical Practice Providers will perform face to face clinical assessments of the Veteran and provide assessment documentation on findings. These assessments will be conducted in a variety of assigned and agreed upon locations with set schedules. The Register/Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for managing the medical office, any Veteran/family activity including patient flow related to in-person visits.
The role will require excellent customer service skills, provider support in relation to checking patients in to the clinic, retrieving medical documentation, scheduling, collecting payment if needed and examination assistance. THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the exam rooms and maintaining overall office cleanliness. - Hours: This role is part-time. Potential applicants for benefits will be scheduled in advance based on mutually agreeable schedule.

DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED.
- Prepare for and deliver exceptional patient handling and care during all interactions
- Assist providers with checking patients in to the clinic, scheduling, medical documentation retrieval and submitting all required documentation timely, including Disability Benefits Questionnaires in the required format
- Participate and contribute to all work activity and organized meetings, sharing point of view and recommendations. Support organization by practicing fiscal responsibility as well as maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. Further support by contributing to operational developments, process improvement initiatives and strategic planning
- Provide delivery and operational excellence by delivering exceptional service, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, embracing change with agility and adaptability, and maintaining accountabilities for all assigned commitments

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Current Certification
- More than 1 year Experience
- Strongly Preferred:
- Experience with Interacting with the Veteran population
- Experience with Managing a Medical Office
- Knowledgeable with managing Provider Workflow
- Knowledgeable with managing Provider Scheduling
TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS:
- Proficient in Microsoft products: Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with electronic healthcare records and use of patient experience solutions
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Ability to assist Veterans with walking, transfer, examination preparation etc.
- Ability to assist Providers with examinations if needed (i.e., chaperone)
