    Part-Time Auxiliary Office Associate (20 hours/week)

    Derby Academy, a co-educational Pre-K through Grade 8 day school in Hingham, MA, seeks a Part-Time Auxiliary Programs Associate to join our vibrant team. This flexible role (Wednesdays & Thursdays: 10 AM - 5 PM, Friday: 10 AM - 4 PM) plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Summer & Auxiliary Programs. Summer work may be available upon request. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated office management experience, well developed technology skills, demonstrated experience with managing finances, some entry level marketing experience, have some background in administration, and experience working with children and parents.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Director to plan, implement, and manage engaging after-school and summer programs, including:
    * Derby Summer Arts & One Week Summer Specialty Camps
    
    * Afterschool Instrumental Program
    
    * Lower School & Middle School After Care Programs
    
    * Friday Afternoon Sports Programs
    
    * Assist with After Care programs and escort students to music lessons (when needed); serve as permanent substitute for After Care program
    
    • Leverage technology to manage various administrative software:

      • CampBrain (summer program database, used year-round)

      • Veracross (academic year auxiliary program student information system)

      • Teampay (online payment system)

    • Oversee administrative tasks:

      • Manage contracts with outside vendors (minimal)

      • Partner with the Marketing & Communications office to manage social media campaigns and other marketing tasks

      • Provide administrative oversight for the Summer Tuition Assistance program

      • Manage all supplies procurement and inventory

      • Be prepared to take on additional tasks as needed

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Demonstrates a passion for quality year-round out-of-classroom programming

    • Demonstrates proficiency in learning and managing new software programs

    • Possesses experience working with diverse stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, etc.)

    • Enjoys time spent with children

    • Offers excellent office administration, organizational, and computer skills

    • Brings enthusiasm, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit

    • Contributes to a positive, efficient, and fun work environment

    • Has the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively

    • Embraces a growth mindset and is eager to learn new skills and take on responsibilities

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree preferred

    • Proven experience in office administration with strong computer and organizational skills

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills

    • Experience working with children and young adults in an educational setting (a plus)

    • Proficiency in learning and managing new software programs

    • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit

    • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively

    Additional Information:

    • The role requires navigating a multi-building campus in all weather conditions.

    • Ability to stand outdoors for up to 30 minutes is necessary.
