    POSITION OVERVIEW: 

    We are currently looking for a 2023 Summer IT Intern in our IT OPERATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE team.  As a Trustmark Intern, you will participate in a paid, 10-week summer program from 5/30/23 – 8/4/23 where you will engage collaboratively with IT and Business leaders, IT team members, and other Interns across IT.  We’re planning on a hybrid Internship experience at our corporate headquarters in Lake Forest, IL where you’ll work three days per week in office and two days remote.  Paid housing will be provided for eligible students. 

     

    In this role, you will support the IT Department’s overall IT Operations Service Delivery area. You will collaborate with multiple teams across the IT organization including Software Engineering, IT Security, along with Procurement, IT Design, and Infrastructure teams who support our End Users. 

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform data analysis and extract IT data, from multiple sources, for deployment decision-making
    • Deliver report extracts and present to management based on collected analysis
    • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure analysts to conduct quality and accuracy assessments of data and data sources
    • Engage department members to capture individual and team requirements for project deliverables
    • Assist team members in performing/documenting gap analysis and developing plans, as necessary, to support final analysis outcomes
    • Interview business teams and/or end users to fully understand their work requirements and possible impacts
    • Work on special initiatives which could include streamlining of processes, quality initiatives, or leading small-scale projects
    • Assist with documentation of new processes
    • Assist Desktop support team with deployment activities
    • Participate in providing support for hardware and software issues and troubleshooting activities
    • Present ideas for infrastructure improvement opportunities

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Display strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
    • Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science or related field with a current GPA 3.0 or higher
    • Must be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree between December 2023 and Summer 2024
    • Must be able to work full-time (37.5 hour work week) during the duration of the program
    • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies by self-learning
    • Demonstrate effective and professional communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Exhibit excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
    • Demonstrate ability to adapt to changes
    • Possess ability and desire to troubleshoot and resolve end user issues
    • Willingness to collaborate with team members to solve problems
