    Summary: This hourly contract position will contribute to the maintenance and further development of Truth Be Told’s programs and operations by providing vital assistance to the Executive Director (ED) and Program Director (PD).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Operational Support

    Answer website inquiries and direct people to PD or ED as needed.

    Pick up mail at the post office and deliver to ED, PD and volunteer facilitators.

    Work to identify needs for office supplies. Order supplies and deliver/pick up as needed.

    Enter offline donations in Salesforce and run donor activity reports as requested.

    Assist ED with the execution of fundraisers and community events.

    Support ED in writing donor thank-yous and receipts.

    Research grant opportunities.

    Vet public speaking invitations from the community.

    Provide assistance with external communications via Mailchimp and social media as needed.

    Program Support

    Enter program participant data into master spreadsheet.

    Collect program event RSVPs from website and enter into Salesforce.

    Process expense reimbursements and mileage sheets submitted by volunteers.

    Support in day-of logistics for program events, such as volunteer lists.

    Send welcome home packets to graduates when they first make contact.

    Secure food, drink, and materials for events and trainings.

    As schedule allows, attend story gatherings and graduations in prison.

    General

    Required Qualifications

    High school diploma.

    Self-starter and highly organized. Able to stay on course with multiple responsibilities and uphold high levels of accountability for self and others.

    Strong people skills with demonstrated success in serving clients/customers, working with volunteers and being a team player.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite — namely Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    Able to handle confidential information with sensitivity and integrity.

    Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for Truth Be Told’s mission.

    Reliable personal transportation, mobile phone and computer with Internet access.

    Able to perform certain tasks that require physical labor, such as organizing, moving and delivering classroom and office supplies.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Post-secondary education in administrative assistance, business administration, social work, nonprofit management or related field.

    Experience with Salesforce, Mailchimp, WordPress and social media platforms.

    Justice-involved individuals (people previously incarcerated, directly or indirectly impacted by the criminal justice system) strongly encouraged to apply.
