    JOB SUMMARY

    Truvian is looking for a Payroll Specialist/ Accountant as we continue to hire and grow our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for processing bi-weekly and special payrolls, remitting employee contributions, and preparing journal entries and reports related to payroll. You will also help ensure payroll procedures are in line with governmental laws and policies. This role will help drive increased accountability in proper record keeping of payroll and personnel files. Additionally, this role will assist in other accounting functions including ME close process, GL reconciliations, etc. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Broadly, this role is responsible for the all items related to payroll for the Truvian team. This will require:

    • Processing payroll for all employees in the organization
    • Ensuring timecards are submitted timely and accurately
    • Remitting employee contributions to accounts such as 401(k) and HSA
    • Preparing journal entries and posting transactions related to payroll and employee benefits
    • Partnering with HR to ensure alignment on employee changes and correct reflection in payroll
    • Maintaining payroll and personnel files and reports
    • Addressing and resolving employee concerns relating to payroll
    • Preparing reports as needed related to payroll
    • Ensuring compliance of payroll procedures with governmental laws and policies
    • Assisting in audits related to payroll and government correspondence on employee matters
    • Discussing daily activities and issues with Accounting Manager
    • Assisting in ME close processes, GL reconciliations and other areas as needed

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in:

    The candidate will preferably have a degree in business or accounting, payroll certifications, strong knowledge in tax & wage laws, and 3+ years experience in payroll at both small and large companies.  While the ideal candidate would have some exposure to life sciences, diagnostics, and or medical devices.
