    Highlights:
    Position Title: Accountant

    San Jose, California 95118
    Duration: 960 Hours
    Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

    • process the credit card transactions; check the transactions for accuracy and proper account coding.
    • process daily receipts; deposit checks received.
    • prepare journal entries as needed for reclasses, property taxes, cash receipts and other revenues.
    • process general invoices relating to health insurance, leased properties, and other similar requests submitted by other departments.
    • process employee expense reimbursements for travel, mileage, professional licenses, and other claims in accordance with District policy.
    • compute and process claim and fee reimbursements for the Board of Directors.
    • respond to customer inquiries.
    • scan and upload backup documentation to the Infor financial system

    To be considered for this position, you should have: [Skills, Education, or Experience]

    • Working Knowledge of:
    • 1. Basic accounting principles and some governmental accounting.
    • 2. Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, email).
    • 4. Integrated financial accounting system.
    • Ability to:
    • 1. Work with minimal supervision.
    • 2. Be flexible and take on a variety of tasks/assignments to meet the department's needs.
    • 3. Communicate clearly and concisely.
    • 4. Process huge amounts of transactions with the use of technology.
    • Experience:
    • 1. Working experience in the areas of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and/or Accounts Receivable.
