We are looking for a part-time bookkeeper with impeccable ethics who loves paying attention to the details of business. You will be part of a small team of finance and administration professionals who are dedicated to stewarding a growing company of about 160 people and supporting its smaller start-ups as part of a shared services team. The hours are flexible, but we are looking for availability between 9am-3pm three days a week with at least one day every other week making sure payroll is processed on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Categorize expenses and other transactions
• Paying vendors
• Modifying employee details and withholdings
• Provide reports and analysis to management
• Payroll, state and local tax processing
• Maintain accounts receivable
• Research and post credit card transactions to QuickBooks
• Maintain data quality in accounting systems of record
• Participate in audits as required and assist in quality improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bookkeeping: 2 years (Required)
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work with confidential data and respect the confidentiality of the books and records
• Knowledge and prior use of QuickBooks accounting software and MS Office products
• International and multistate experience a plus
• Self-starter and eager to learn attitude
• Ability to work independently
• Minimum 3 years hands on experience with QuickBooks
• Glastonbury, CT, onsite required initially with hybrid or WFH after 3 months
• Associate Degree in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred
