OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:

HD Map data is the major offline data on a running autonomous driving vehicle that makes L4 autonomous driving possible. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer  at TuSimple Map infra/Platform team, you will work on the Big Data projects, including complex map building algorithms and pipelines, large scale systems, efficient map data onboard and offline management systems, etc. Your work will empower the whole autonomous driving pipeline, both the algorithm research side and the engineering development side, with the access to a large volume and variety of map data.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build high performance, high availability and low latency systems to generate and manage map data
• Build front-end Web Interface to edit and visualize large scale sensor and geospatial data
• Develop complex and scalable back-end data processing pipelines
• Proactively work with map operators to improve the productivity of map building and maintenance

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience in building highly scalable enterprise web applications
• 5+ years experience in developing microservices using AWS or other equivalent cloud framework
• Excellent knowledge of different API mechanism such as REST, RPC/gRPC, HTTP, GraphQL
• Experience in developing extensible APIs and highly maintainable services.
• Experience in deploying, monitoring and maintaining services and systems.
• Excellent knowledge of databases like Dynamodb, Mongodb, SQL
• Fluent in JavaScript & Python
• Understanding of SOA, SAAS, and REST/OAuth/JSON architectures and services.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Familiar with front-end Vue.js framework
• Familiar with front-end React framework
• Familiar with back-end Flask or Django framework
