OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
As a member of the Functional Safety Engineering team, you will work closely with the Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering teams to conduct safety reviews, resolve safety related issues, and conduct safety analysis.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct functional safety analysis at system, HW and SW level
Ensure safety work products are getting created and reviewed for compliance
Resolve any safety related issues in various domainsSystem, Software and Hardware
Coordinate safety with external suppliers, partners
Conduct Safety Reviews including software design reviews, software architecture review
Promote functional safety culture.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Development of automotive embedded systems and microprocessors, systems simulation and modeling tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink).
Knowledgeable of safety analysis methodology (FMEA/FMEDA, FTA,ETA, STPA )
Experience with software and tools for embedded control environments, including Matlab, Simulink, dSpace, LabView, HIL/SIL test environments, C++ code development, MISRA , AUTOSAR and other coding guidelines, and related tools and methods.
Proficiency in programming languages C++ .
Knowledge of the ISO 26262 Standard process, ASPICE/CMMi and demonstrated 1+ years of its application to the development of control unit software
Knowledge of SOTIF standard (ISO/PAS 21448) UL 4600 is a plus.
Experience in developing software for safety critical systems in a regulated environment
A proven track record of developing and delivering software or hardware for embedded projects.
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and architectures
