OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW  Lead TuSimple'ss Hardware Engineering division of 50+ ICs, Managers, and Directors.    Set the strategy, direction, and vision for the Hardware engineering division.  Fully develop and manage all phases of a product from market definition through production and release.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and direct engineering and operations activities to meet the company's financial, quality, and performance goals.
• Provide technical leadership for all product development by directing equipment design and function.
• Lead design, development, and integration of Tusimple technology with commercial vehicle chassis using industry-leading hardware and software solutions.
• Direct research and technical design for electronic parts, components, and integrated circuitry.
• Evaluate the reliability of materials, properties, and techniques used in production.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED 

• 15 years in the automotive industry, with at least 5 years experience at the executive level.
• 10 years experience in people management.
• 5 years of experience as a robotics or advanced hardware systems hardware engineer. 
• 2 years experience working in an international, matrixed company, collaborating with teams in multiple international locations.
