    OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW  

    At TuSimple we are looking for a System Integration Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. You will work cross-functionally with all engineering teams to evaluate and test one of the most advanced systems operating on the roads. Your passion, determination, and expertise will be key points to overcome obstacles that will lead to a safe and commercially ready self-driving truck.

     

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class autonomous vehicle validation team

    • Work closely with system engineers, program management and other teams to plan testing activities.

    • Manage and organize the high-level test requirements as well as detailed test cases description.

    • Establish a structured validation process in collaboration with other teams

    • Lead team to develop and maintain a toolchain allowing execution, tracking, analysis and reporting of test cases.

    • Lead the team to build and manage the system integration bench of the autonomous driving system.

    • Maintain detailed configuration tracking of the components being tested.

    • Provide testing progress information and generate issue synthesis reports.

    • Define a defect reporting process that encompasses all a thorough description allowing full analysis by development teams.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase the performance and quality of data.

    • Create and maintain comprehensive system validation documentation, accessible for relevant stakeholders.

    • Guarantee accurate test case coverage for each testing session.

    • Ability to operate in an Agile environment

    • Propose, manage and budget test bench improvements, including new material or automation.

     

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Sciences, Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical.

    • At least 10 years experience in system validation

    • Able to build a strategy and execute it.

    • Ability to be strategic but also to get involved in hands-on work to support the team for troubleshooting.

    • Familiar with the automotive Ethernet and CAN bus as well as the related testing tools.

    • Ability to keep organized large amounts of information using requirements and test case management tools.

    • Strong experience with requirement management tools.

    • Good understanding of the engineering V cycle development process.

    • Understanding of Agile methodology.

    • Strong ability to analyze and describe an issue in detail.

    • Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.

    • Proven ability to work under firm deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Structure and organization of large scale validation projects

    • Autonomous driving or safety electronics systems experience

    • Familiarity with, or practical experience in Computer, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 

    • Strong organization and execution abilities

    • Strong logical thinking
