JOB DESCRIPTION
At TuSimple we are looking for a System Integration Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. You will work cross-functionally with all engineering teams to evaluate and test one of the most advanced systems operating on the roads. Your passion, determination, and expertise will be key points to overcome obstacles that will lead to a safe and commercially ready self-driving truck.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and manage the system integration bench of the autonomous driving system.
Maintain detailed configuration tracking of the components being tested on the bench.
Review requirements and build system-level validation test cases.
Executes test cases and generates test reports.
Reports defect when necessary with the attached description.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and debug system issues to increase the performance and quality of data.
Create and maintain comprehensive system validation documentation.
Ensure accurate test case coverage for each requirement.
Propose and manage test bench improvements, including new material or automation.
Report progress and issues to the system engineering manager and project managers.
Optimize maintenance and deployments to ensure integrated functioning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Sciences, Electronics, Electrical or Electromechanical.
Similar experience preferred but open to new graduates with relevant internship and educational background.
Able to troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems.
Hands-on with most test equipment, such as oscilloscope, data loggers, power supplies, multimeter, ...
Familiar with automotive Ethernet and CAN bus as well as the related testing tools.
Ability to keep a large amount of information organized.
Good understanding of the engineering development process.
Strong experience with requirement management tools.
Understanding of Agile methodology.
Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills.
Proven ability to work under firm deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
