    Position Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tube Laser Operator to be responsible for operating and maintaining tube laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality, precision-cut components. This role involves setting up and monitoring machine operations, performing routine maintenance, ensuring production goals and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

    What You'll Do

    • Set up and operate tube laser equipment according to job specifications and production schedules.
    • Load, align, and process raw materials to ensure accurate and efficient cutting.
    • Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
    • Inspect cut parts for dimensional accuracy, quality, and conformance to print specifications.
    • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning optics and completing required preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Document machine settings, production output, quality inspections, and downtime accurately.
    • Troubleshoot basic machine and material issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
    • Collaborate with production, quality, and programming teams to improve efficiency and product quality.
    • Achieve established production rates and quality standards for each job.
    • Participate in training to develop tube laser operation, programming, and fabrication skills.

    Qualifications

    • Some manufacturing experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and develop skills.
    • Able to perform basic readings with calipers for dimensional analysis.
    • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical specifications is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Willingness to follow instructions and adherence to safety procedures.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.
    • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Other Requirements

    • Identify and report quality, material, or equipment issues to supervisors.
    • Meet daily production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards.
    • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
    • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
