Job Description

Accounting position that will also oversee processing claims and doing yearly insurance negotiations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Past Due collections

·        Collect unbilled documents

·        Reconcile various carrier aging reports

·        Process claims

·        Insurance negotiations

·        Help answer phone and e-mails

·        Accounts Payable

·        Help with billing as needed

·        Help with supervising accounting staff

·        Various other projects as needed

EXPERIENCE:

• 2-4 years of experience working in accounting with 1 year in a supervisory type of position
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• One year of experience in logistics, preferred.
• Ability to deal with claims, collections, and settlements.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.  
• A self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced office setting.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.  
• Organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
