Engineering Intern - Summer 2022 Turion Space is seeking engineering interns to join our team in Irvine for the Summer 2022 semester. As an intern at Turion Space you will work directly with the team to assist in the development, execution, and implementation of Turion Space's development strategy. Your experience, creativity, and ambition will directly impact the success of Turion Space. Responsibilities: We're looking for engineering candidates with design, test, and/or analysis experience in one or more of these areas: • Avionics • Electrical Engineering • Electric Propulsion • GNC • Robotics • Software • Structures Engineering responsibilities range from owning propulsion components, thermal and structural analysis, writing flight software, designing PCBs, to satellite integration Qualifications: • Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate program or within 6 months after graduation by the start of employment • 3+ months of experience in one or more of the aforementioned engineering areas PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Published creative or written work • Enthusiasm for space and Turion Space's mission • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • GPA of 3.0 or above ITAR REQUIREMENTSTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Compensation: $60,000
