    Turion Space is seeking a software engineer to join our modeling and simulation team in Irvine, CA. You will architect and develop software within our in-house simulation framework in order to validate, verify and optimize single to multi-spacecraft configurations and scenarios. Additionally, you will provide key support for product demonstrations, business development, and outreach activities. Your ability to collaborate in the drafting of proposals, journal and/or conference articles, and attending related events will be hugely beneficial to your new role.  Compensation: $90-$120k, 0.1-0.7% equity Responsibilities: • Simulation software development for spacecraft mission scenario testing, verification, and validation  • Implement multi-objective optimization algorithms  • Develop well-architected, responsive, and performant single- and multi-agent simulations in Python and C/C++  Qualifications: • Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.), or BS + 2 years experience, in computer science, aerospace, astrodynamics, control systems, or a relevant engineering field  • Strong C/C++ and/or Python skills  • Experience implementing optimization algorithms  • Software testing and verification experience (unit testing and performance verification)  • Strong technical writing skills  • Able to learn quickly and collaborate with multiple disciplines encompassed within the spacecraft design and testing umbrella  • Capable of identifying and solving complex problems with little to no supervision or direction  • Hardware-in-the-loop and/or Software-in-the-loop testing experience  • Be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State  PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: • Experience implementing machine learning, AI, and/or computer vision software  • Working knowledge of satellite subsystems and components  • Experience designing and/or prototyping space systems software  • Experience with Rendezvous and Proximity Operations and Docking (RPOD)  • Mission operations experience  Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 yearly
