    Arlington, VA - Software Development/Data Analytics

    $100,000 - $120,000 + Bonus + Equity

    We are currently representing a Senior Accountant opening with a fast-growing, private-equity backed Software Development/Data Analytics company. This position is newly created due to growth, and will be responsible for supporting month-end close, GL account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, revenue recognition, AP/AR, and other ad-hoc projects as needed.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Support the closing processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, which includes the preparation of monthly financial statements.
    • Reconcile balance sheets, covering areas such as bank statements, accounts receivable, fixed assets, liability accruals, and prepaid expenses.
    • Maintain deferred revenue schedules, ensuring updates reflect changes in customer balances.
    • Manage vendor bills input and third-party accounts payable integration, including processing employee expense reports and credit card transactions.
    • Support the implementation of an enhanced accounts payable solution/process.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual 1099s and the collection of W-9s.
    • Coordinate with insurance brokers to ensure compliance with client, vendor, and government requirements.
    • Aid in audit and tax schedule preparations as required.
    • Support external auditors by preparing deliverables and supporting schedules, responding to audit inquiries and issues.
    • Assist with building and improving accounting policies and procedures

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited 4-year university required
    • 4-8 years of progressive corporate accounting and/or public accounting audit experience
    • CPA or CPA parts-passed required
    • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred
    • US Citizenship is required
    • Strong written communication skills; Excellent time management and organizational skills.
